Paneer Tikka made from pieces of paneer, cooked in tandoor is an Indian snack dish. The cheese is marinated and then roasted. Apart from tandoor, it can also be prepared in oven. About Paneer tikka

Paneer Tikka is an Indian snack which can be used for breakfast or as an appetizer at any party. Small pieces of paneer are marinated with curd and along with it there are some vegetables like Capsicum, Carrot, Onion, Baby Corn. Marinated in hung curd in which Indian spices are added. To soften the cheese, add it to the bud and roast it in the oven or grill.

Tips for Paneer tikka

  • If you are using a wooden skewer then make sure to soak it in hot water before using it otherwise it may get burnt.
  • To prepare hung curd, use curd made from full fat milk.
  • To make one cup of hung curd, tie 11/2 cups of curd in a muslin cloth and hang it for half an hour.
  • If you do not have a non-stick pan then it can also be made on a simple pan, cook it in a little more oil to prevent the paneer from sticking while cooking.
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder can be added to it to deepen its colour.
  • You can also use baby corn, capsicum, yellow capsicum, red capsicum.
  • Tofu can also be used instead of cheese.

To cook in the oven

  • Do all the preparations for cooking in the oven like this on Sikh.
  • Put Paneer Capsicum Onion on Sikh Repeat all the vegetables and cheese in the same order. Spread aluminum foil on the carry baking tray, apply some oil on the water and vegetables with a brush and place it on the baking tray.
  • Cook in pre-heated oven at 200 degrees Celsius for about 7 to 8 minutes.
  • After cooking for 7 to 8 minutes, take them out from the oven, turn them over and apply some oil with a brush and cook for 7 to 5 minutes.
  • Take them out of the oven and keep them in a plate. Put chaat masala and lemon juice on top of the Paneer Tikka. Your Paneer Tikka is ready.

Ingredients
  

  • cup Paneer Cut into 1 inch long and 1/2 inch thick pieces
  • 1 red capsicum cut into squares
  • 1 Green capsicum cut into squares
  • 1 onion cut into squares
  • tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • cup curd (hung curd)
  • ½ tsp red chilli powder
  • ½ tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • tsp oil
  • ½ tsp chat masala
  • ½ tsp lemon juice
  • salt as per taste

Instructions
 

  • To make marinade, beat curd well in a big ball, add ginger garlic paste, red chilli, garam masala, coriander powder, chaat masala salt and mix well.
  • Add paneer and all the vegetables to the marinade and mix well. Keep covered for 15 minutes.
  • Add red capsicum, green capsicum, onion, cheese, green capsicum, chillies, red capsicum to the skewer and repeat the same sequence.
  • You can also use toothpaste but apply it in small pieces
  • Pour oil on a non-stick pan and heat it on medium flame. After it gets heated, place the Paneer Tikka on it and cook it lightly.
  • While cooking, rotate the Paneer Tikka all around, it should be cooked from all sides.
  • It will take about three-four minutes, after which the Paneer Tikka is ready.
  • Place on a serving plate and top with chaat masala – lemon juice Sprinkle it.
