Sweet and sour tamarind chutney and snacks are a perfect combination. Tamarind (imlie) chutney is perfect with pakoras, kachori, paratha. Tamarind chutney can give a tangy and spicy taste to any tasteless food. Its taste is somewhat sweet and sour. Roasted cumin and sugar are added to tamarind chutney. Its taste is sweet and sour. We keep one pickle of our chutney with our simple food every day, whether it is any chutney of tamarind, green coriander, chilli or any other, but we definitely keep chutney in our food. It is also made according to the season. If it is summer then mango chutney is made. Mostly in cold season, apricot, coconut, dates, all these chutneys are made. Some dry chutneys are also made which we store for a few days.

Ingredients
  

  • 250 gram ripe tamarind
  • ½ tsp black salt
  • 1 tsp white salt
  • 100 gram sugar powder
  • ¾ tsp black pepper powder
  • ½ tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp roasted cumin seeds grinded
  • 1 pinch roasted asafetida grinded
  • 1 tsp ginger finely chopped

Instructions
 

  • Boil 2 cups water in a pan, then add tamarind and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  • After this, take out the tamarind pulp .
  • Add salt, sugar, red chilli, mint and roasted cumin and grind it well once in the grinder.
  • Sweet and sour chutney is ready
