You can also add cardamom and dry fruits of your choice to the kheer. Kheer is made from rice but to make it different in taste, we can add any other fruit to it, like pumpkin kheer is also made with rice. What are the best ways to eat custard appple

To eat a custard apple, follow these steps:

  1. Choose a ripe custard apple: A ripe custard apple should be slightly soft to the touch and have a sweet fragrance. Avoid custard apples that are too hard or have visible bruises or blemishes.
  2. Cut the custard apple: Hold the custard apple firmly and cut it vertically into two halves using a sharp knife.
  3. Scoop out the flesh: Use a spoon to gently scoop out the flesh of the custard apple from both halves. Be careful not to include the black seeds in the center of the fruit, as they are not edible.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 liter Milk
  • 1 cup custard apple pulp
  • 1 cup Condensed milk
  • 6 saffron strands dissolved in milk
  • a pinch of nutmeg powder
  • Dry fruits finely chopped
  • sugar as per taste

Instructions
 

  • Boil the milk in a thick bottom vessel and thicken it.
  • Add saffron along with dry fruits and milk, boil for a while and then turn off the flame.
  • Add condensed milk, sugar and nutmeg powder to it and cook again.
  • Cook it while stirring with a spoon so that the milk does not stick to the bottom.
  • After it boils for about 3-4 minutes, remove it from the flame and cool it a bit.
  • Now mix the pulp of custard apple in it well.
  • Serve delicious Custard apple kheer topped with chopped dry fruits.

Notes

Note: Custard apples can stain clothes easily, so it is advisable to handle them carefully and wear an apron while cutting and scooping the fruit.
