Chocolate Gujiya is going to be a perfect snack during festivals. Chocolate Gujiya has chocolate filling inside it, which you can change as per your choice. Chocolate Gujiya is a new version of Gujiya, an Indian sweet.

Gujiya is made with the filling of Mawa, Rava etc. and is perfect for any festival occasion. You might have eaten normal Mawa Gujiya but today let’s make something different, Chocolate Gujiya. This Gujiya is a fusion of flavors, you must try this recipe once.

 

About Chocolate gujiya 

Even today, whenever any festival comes, I remember the time of making Gujiya with my grandmother and mother. Gujiya is especially made in homes during Diwali. Mawa filling, Rava filling, gram flour filling can also be added to the filling of Gujiya.
Today I am going to tell you a new version of Gujiya, Chocolate Gujiya. This is going to be children’s favorite sweet dish.
This Gujiya will be filled with chocolate which will be inside the layer of flour, the flour will be crispy which will taste good in eating.

Gujiya is made with the filling of Mawa, Rava etc. and isperfect for any festival occasion.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup flour
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • water as required

For filling

  • 2 tsp Ghee
  • cup mawa grated
  • 8 cashew nuts chopped
  • 8 almonds chopped
  • ½ tsp sugar powdered
  • cup Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • ghee/oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Mix flour and ghee in a large bowl. Now add water, knead it hard and keep it covered for 10-15 minutes.

For filling

  • Heat ghee in a pan, add mawa and fry for 2 minutes. Now add cashews, almonds and sugar and fry.
  • Now take out the mixture and cool it. Melt the chocolate chips in a pan or microwave.
  • Mix the melted chocolate in the mawa mixer.
  • The filling is ready. Dissolve some flour in water. Make small balls of the dough and roll them like puris.
  • Fill the filling in the middle and apply flour and water around it.
  • Now fold it in half and seal the edges.
  • Fry the Gujiya in heated ghee until it turns golden.
  • Your Gujiya is here. Serve them by sprinkling chocolate chips or chocolate syrup on top.

Notes

Deep-fried gujiya are high in calories and may cause weight gain.  The baked version of preparing gujiya is undoubtedly healthier and better because there is no frying and so no carcinogen or ageing action as well as no fat gain. Instead of frying the gujiyas, bake them to give a healthy twist.
